When you should wear a face covering (unless you are not able to wear one for a specific reason)

From 30th November 2021 you must wear a face covering by law, unless you are exempt or have a reasonable excuse (please see the www.gov.uk website for more detail about descriptions and exceptions):-

  • shops and supermarkets
  • shopping centres
  • auction houses
  • post offices, banks, building societies, high street solicitors and accountants, credit unions etc. and money service businesses
  • estate and letting agents
  • premises providing personal care and beauty treatments
  • pharmacies
  • premises providing veterinary services
  • retail galleries
  • retail travel agents
  • take-aways (without space for consumption on the premises
  • public transport
  • any car or small van during professionally delivered driving lessons or tests etc. and all HGV lessons and tests
  • transport hubs eg. airports, stations etc.)
