Fittleworth and District Association (FDA) was formed to preserve the rural character of the Parish of Fittleworth and its surroundings and to assist any other organisations in any action which furthers this object. FDA closed in 2022.
FDA have been active in local concerns such as supporting F-Tag traffic (replaced by Speed Watch) monitoring and with the Horncroft Silica Sand Quarry proposals. They have in the past worked alongside the Parish Council on various topical matters.
In September 2018 the Association commissioned a report by Hamilton-Baillie Associates Ltd – Tackling traffic and safety concerns through place-making and lower speeds
