FITTLEWORTH PARISH COUNCIL: Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer

Hours: 12 per week including attendance at evening meetings

Rate of pay: expected to be £17.10 per hour (based on SCP29) negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

Fittleworth Parish Council is looking to appoint a Parish Clerk & RFO with the drive, determination and organisational skills to manage a varied workload.

In addition to managing the day-to-day work of the Parish Council, the post holder will work closely with Councillors to plan and implement the aims and objectives of the Council. Attendance at evening meetings is required, although this is typically limited to the monthly Parish Council meetings.

The ideal applicant will have administrative experience and some financial experience, strong organisational skills, and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for working with residents and local organisations.

Prior experience of working as a Parish Clerk is not essential. The role may suit those looking for flexible working arrangements as much of the 12 hours per week can be worked at a time convenient to the post holder.
