Unstable bank – A283 near Fittleworth

As you are aware we had a tree fall on the A283 near Fittleworth over last weekend. We have dealt with this, however, upon review the bank is not as stable as it needs to be. Given this, we are having to erect two-way lights adjacent to the bank to ensure public safety.

We will be engaging with the land-owner and are looking to regrade the bank and fully reopen the road as soon as possible.
