EMERGENCY RC Public Notice Upper Street

West Sussex Highways have advised that they are planning to close the A283 east of Fittleworth tomorrow, 19th December, to undertake works to make the bank stable. It is anticipated the works will take place in one day, however they have booked the closure for two days in case there are any unexpected complications. A diversion will be in place. They are confident the bank will be successfully stabilised however if this should not be the case they will reopen the road under two-way lights and undertake further works at a later date as necessary.
