Going forward there will be a regular weekly drop-in for tea, coffee and cake on THURSDAYS between 2 and 5.30 pm in Fittleworth Village Hall, RH20 1JB.

The sessions are for Ukrainians (especially the newly arrived) to meet other Ukrainians staying locally. A chance for them to connect and offer each other mutual support, friendship and advice. Currently the session is not offering advice about the wider network of support available in the UK and West Sussex such as access to benefits or language classes, although this may change. Please keep in mind that this event is primarily for Ukrainian guests, not local hosts. If you just want to chat with other hosts, the café in Fittleworth Village Shop is a good place to arrange to meet. The shop is next door to the Hall, has great coffee and cakes, as well as plenty of seating inside and out. That said, last week some hosts and guests did find it helpful to pop into the Hall together because they found that Ukrainians with good English were happy to do a bit of translating … so the event is flexible as things evolve.
