There will be a working party on Hesworth Common on Sunday 23 April at 10am. Please do come and join us if you can and help to keep our common healthy and beautiful- no tools or experience required.
We have been informed about a number of recent thefts from cars parked at local car parks, such as those at Lord’s Piece and Bignor Hill and more widely within the Chichester District.
Please be vigilant and don’t leave valuables visible within parked cars.
Fittleworth Evangelical Free Church has a long history in the village which will hopefully be described in a future Village Magazine.
The Free Church has had it’s last regular service on Sunday. It’s thought that a local group will still meet informally.
The church was originally at the the old ‘Mission Room’ building (now an extended and modernised home; previously a blacksmiths) on the edge of Hesworth Common.
From the 3 April this year it is will be necessary to either pay and display or have a new parking disc for the Horsham District Council car parks in Pulborough, Billingshurst, Storrington, Steyning, Henfield and Roffey.
Unlike the old disc, the new one is no longer free and costs £12 per year. If you order your disc before the end of April you can get a second one free. Additional discs for the same household are £6. Please note that these discs are only available through Horsham District Council and not retail outlets.
Full details are available on the Horsham District Council website where you can complete a brief online form and make a payment:
Alternatively you can phone the council to give your details and pay for your disc on: 01403 215100.
Please note that the old style disc expires on 2 April.
Nomads Fish and Chips park outside the Village Hall on Fridays between 5pm and 7.30pm (hopefully back this week!)
The ‘Name a Laptop’ scheme is a way of raising money for Fittleworth Village School, to fund essential technology – to raise the £7750 needed to buy twenty new computers.
Please look in your February copy of the Fittleworth and Stopham Village Magazine for details, or contact the school at email@example.com
A warm welcome to our Fittleworth Parish Council to Chris O’Callaghan; this means that our council is at full strength, with nine members. Thank you all for giving up your time to help our village.
